The ActiveSeam™ Slim is a low-profile, two-thread stitch that eliminates the bulk associated with flatlock seams. at 3/32" it provides just enough accent - visible yet imperceptible to the wearer. Originally developed in 2009, the ActiveSeam™ Slim has been perfected for lightweight base layer material like those used for hiking garments. In addition to the comfort it provides, the ActiveSeam Slim is an
advancement over flatlock due to its distinct aesthetic and its "strong-flex" construction - it provides strength across the seam but stretches with the material along the seam. As part of the Branded Stitch Program, the ActiveSeam™ Slim is a superior alternative to generic stitching, and like all Merrow Branded Stitches it is custom sewn and tested to customers' specific material and patterns.
